Fly is the smallest of my crew at 12.2hh. He is a MUTT people ask me to guess what he is exactly and to me, he is just one of those ponies that doesn’t really have any distinct enough features to give a good guess. We call him a quarter pony for breed learning purposes for the students but don’t hold me to that! He is a silver bay in color and was born on July 27, 2004. I am grateful to have Fly here in my program. He is one of the more “permanent” horses that does not belong to me. I have a student who has outgrown him and her family was kind enough to let me use him for my other students. He is a hard size if you ask me. Perfect for kids but once they grow enough, they are too big! He is perfect for a lesson program because I usually have enough small kids to keep him busy! He is an opinionated dude who teaches his riders A LOT. He is the definition of “pony” without a mean bone in his body. He is a great walk/trot/canter ride if you’re small enough 😊
